ELASTIC POLYURETHANE FOAM ELASTOSCHAUM 750ML
One-component sound-absorbing, insulating and filling polyurethane foam with high elasticity
Specifically designed to seal the joints in the installation of wooden, PVC and aluminum windows. Ready to use, it must be used on a manual gun. It is CFC free. Characterized by a very high yield (about 55 liters at 20 °) and controlled expansion. It should be remembered that elastic foams require a greater quantity of humidity for their correct filming than rigid foams to avoid post-swelling phenomena. Product compliant with the requirements of 11673-1 chap 6: Basic requirements for sealing, filling and insulation materials.
Fields of application
For sealing joints in the installation of external frames, when the following characteristics are required:
- High elasticity to compensate the movements of the wall and/or the frame even in the presence of high thermal expansion
- High thermal and acoustic insulation
- Excellent air impermeability < br>
Tips:
Adheres to all substrates commonly used in construction (stone, plaster, wood, metal, PVC, polystyrene). Suitable for joints from 5 to 40 mm: for upper joints work in layers and wet each layer. Before application, moisten the substrate with steamed net water with a spray. For regular and optimal expansion, moisten the foam even immediately after extrusion. Usable from -5 to + 30 °, as long as the cylinder temperature is higher than 10 °. Check the absence of ice on the support when working at low temperatures. It is resistant to rain and high temperatures, but must not be exposed to ultraviolet rays. Screw the gun onto the foam bottle and shake at least 20 times horizontally before each application. Application instructions: apply the foam at the bottom of the joint working from the bottom up after having moistened the substrate. It is possible to stop the application of the foam at any time by leaving the cylinder inserted on the gun. ATTENTION: the elastic single-component foams are much more sensitive to the moisture content than traditional rapid foams. Therefore, if it does not get adequately wet before and after application, there is a risk of POST-SWELLING or VOLUME LOSS phenomena.
