The American Women Quarters Program is a four-year series celebrating the accomplishments and contributions made by women to the development and history of the U.S. Beginning in 2022, and continuing through 2025, the Mint will issue five new quarters each year featuring reverse designs honoring prominent American women, who made significant contributions in a variety of fields, including suffrage, civil rights, abolition, government, humanities, science, space, and the arts. The women honored are from ethnically, racially, and geographically diverse backgrounds.
You are buying a set of 2022 P,D&S (3 coins) American Womens Quarters. Uncirculated from U.S. Mint Rolls. This is the fourth issue of the new quarter series featuring Nina Otero-Warren. She was a trailblazing advocate who exhibited courage and an exceptional ability to advocate for women, children, and Native American communities. The term “advocate” aptly describes Otero-Warren’s character. Her greatest strengths were her ability to convince predominantly male power brokers to support changes in favor of New Mexican women; advocate for passage of the 19th Amendment; and advocate for children by challenging the Native American boarding school standards.
