    Description

There's a saying in the overarching Horse community that goes, "Horse people are crazy." And while that's true, it's especially true for a certain subset within the Model Horse community: Micro artists and repair artists. These brave (and perhaps masochistic) people collect, create, and repair micro models, and lately have been able to pack so much detail into these miniscule models that not only do my eyes hurt and need a nap just thinking about it, but there's no other explanation to how these people work on these tiny horses than "Witchcraft!"
And here at Hexed Hooves, we adore that. So when people saw my stablemate ears and asked "Please release them in micro!" I said "Right away!"
Each unit comes with 10 pairs of ears (10 left, 10 right.) Both ears are symmetrical, and can be posed at any angle you want! Just be warned: These ears are TINY. If you're a butterfingers like I am, you may want to get more than you think you'll need, just to be able to replace the ones that inevitably run off into the void, never to be seen again (until you hear that signature crackle in your vacuum cleaner when you do your weekly or monthly sweep of your studio space. (Or yearly. I don't judge!)
Every ear is 3D printed at a 20 micron layer height using a custom mix of resins to give the best of both detail, and durability. While they aren't drop-proof, they are much more resistant to being crushed, snapped, or chipped than standard printing resin, so you don't have to worry about them crumbling in your hands while you hold them in place for the glue to set. (Nobody likes that!) Because they are so small, however, please expect them to still be fragile! I can make the toughest resin I possibly can, but small parts are small parts and without that density to strengthen them, they're not indestructible!
Every batch is thoroughly washed in 99% isopropyl alcohol, left to dry, and then properly cured for a minimum of 15 minutes (per specific resin requirements) in a dedicated resin cure station. If they're not cured well enough, they go back in until there's absolutely no uncured resin left. No goo, no stick, no toxic uncured resin. You can handle them with your bare hands with confidence!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I'll be happy to help in any way I can!
